Proverbs 16:33

Hey!

I found this amazing verse and wanted to share it! The verse talks about how we can cast our dice, but the LORD  will decide how they turn out. Isn’t this incredible? It seems like such a simple thing, but it shows how incredible God is!

This also takes away our false pride. We as a society are getting to the point where we don’t think we need God anymore, and it shows in the littlest things. How funny it is to think about the weather man trying to predict what a storm will do. As if he could predict what the LORD of All Creation will do! How comforting it is to know that this God is on our side 🙂

We may throw the dice,
but the Lord determines how they fall.

The Word of God

Hey!

Sorry I haven’t posted much lately, I have been sick and really busy with school 😦

Anyway, I was supposed to write a persuasive essay for school so I wrote about the Bible’s validity. I got to use lots of big awesome words, lol.

Here it is if you are interested!

The Bible is more accurate than it is usually given credit for. Actually, according to scientific tests the Bible is one of the most historically accurate books ever written. And yet, many scientists dismiss it as some mere myth. Scientists and historians use this test to determine whether the document is valid or not. This test has three basic parts: the Bibliographic Test, the Internal Test, and the External Test.

The Bibliographic Test is to see if the text has been changed or altered since it was originally written. Archeologists have found over thirteen thousand copies of the New Testament! That is way more copies than the Homer’s Iliad which only has about six hundred forty-three, and many manuscripts of the Bible date back only eighty to four hundred years after it was written. This means that historians can go back and compare them to see if they all match, which surprisingly, they do. Also, seven hundred sixty-four of the fifteen thousand, six hundred lines in Homer’s Iliad are in question- yet no one seems to question its validity. The Bible is far more carefully preserved than any other book in history.

The Internal Test is to see if the writers were telling the truth. Many people claim that the Bible holds “inconsistencies” such as one book records a Roman official coming to ask Jesus to heal his slave, while the gospel of Luke records the Roman official sending people in his place. While this seems like a big contradiction, it is easily explained by understanding people back then: if a master sent his slave to do something for him, people saw no difference between the two. So Luke was just being more detailed then John, but they do not contradict each other. Also, the Bible states that Jesus performed incredible miracles in front of huge crowds, and at the time the Bible was written the people who witnessed these things were still alive to contradict any deviation from the truth. In fact, these people were people who absouletly hated Jesus, so they would not have heisted to point out and false thing in the Bible. So the writers of the Gospels would have had had incredible pressure on them to record it accurately. So the it is incredibly unlikely that they were lying.

The final test is the External test. This test is to see if historical evidence such as archeology confirms or denies what is stated. There are some times in the Bible that it seems like what it says could never be true in a million years, such as when Mark records that Jesus healed a blind man as he was leaving Jericho, but Luke, who appeared to be writing of the same event, says it happened as he was approaching Jericho. This seems impossible, but excavations in 1907-09 by an archeologist named Ernest Sellin showed that there were two cities of Jericho around the time of Jesus Christ. Also, Paul writes about a meat market in Corinth, and an inscription has been found that refers to ‘the meat market’. Obviously, the authors of the Bible knew what they were talking about.

The Bible is one of the most, if not THE most historically accurate books of all time, and so it deserves to be respected far better than it has been. Perhaps it even deserves for some people to return to it and reexamine it for themselves, what would they have to loose? It passes every part of the test, even better than most books. So, according to science, the Bible is not fiction, but fact.

Sowing & Reaping

Hey!

Just a little reminder that your reward is on its way! The Bible says to not be deceived because God is not mocked, and that a man will reap what he sows. This means that all the selfless sufferings you have gone through are going to come back and bless you! You have not been forgotten by the LORD and he will surely do everything within his almighty power to see that you get repaid for these things. Trust him!

So don’t Give up! A time is coming when he will repay you for all the good you have done, and its gonna be so AWESOME!!!!

Student’s legal rights!

Hey!

I found this book on my parents bookshelf, and lo and behold, it had a list of public schooled students’ rights on campus! Sadly, theses are only public school ones so I’m not sure about anything other than that and home school. By the way, you have total freedom of speech in home school haha. My awesome friend Kaylyn has told me that a teacher in her class has falsely been telling them that it was illegal to talk about God on campus. At the sound of that both of us were filled with a feeling of righteous anger, and I was sure that it was a lie. However, I couldn’t remember exactly what her rights as a student are. So as I was saying, I found public schooled students rights, and here they are!

  1. You have the right to meet other religious students and even form groups and Bible Studies!
  2. You have the right to express your beliefs through signs, symbols, and clothing!
  3. You have the right to talk about your faith, or share your beliefs with other students on campus!
  4. You have the right to distribute literature (like  Bibles!) on campus during times you are not being instructed!
  5. You have the right to pray on campus by yourself, in groups, and even during graduation!
  6. You have the right to carry and/or study your bible or other religious literature on campus!
  7. You have the right to do research papers, speeches, creative projects or talent programs on themes of faith!
  8. You have the right to be exempt from activities that go against your religious beliefs!
  9. You have the right to celebrate or study religious holidays!
  10. You have the right to study themes of faith, religious literature, and religious history!

This awesome info was taken from the back of the book called The Truth for Youth! Look them up at http://www.thetruthforyouth.com 🙂

No condemnation!!!

Hey!

Just wanted to remind you that your old self is dead! If you have excepted Jesus as your LORD and savior, then according to the Word of God you are pure and righteous! All the old stuff has passed away and all things have been made new! The Bible calls you a Chosen Race, a Royal Priesthood, and Holy Nation! It says that God called you out of darkness and into wonderful light, that you are a New Creation and that your old self has been crucified! say goodbye to all that junk and forget about it! Break those chains of condemnation, depression and oppression and rise up to be the person God has called you to be.

Galations 2 : 20 (NIV)

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Has God given you a Vision?

Hey!

One thing I have noticed about the LORD is that he likes giving people visions. These visions can come in many forms such as seeing into the spiritual realm or just feeling a tug on your heart. I am writing this to talk about the latter. This special tug on your heart can not only point you in the direction you need to go, but also it can give you the strength to spring forward and do mighty works for the Jesus! If you don’t feel this today why don’t you ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your calling to you. His plans for you are beyond anything you could ever imagine 🙂

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

My Testimony of the Grace of God

Hey!

Really not much to say about me, but what God has done in my life, well, that’s a different story. About two years ago we lost our house among other things. At that point I got all uber depressed and stuff. I hated life, myself, and barely believed in God. Soon I wanted to kill myself and spent most of my waking life wishing for the strength to do it, after all, Heaven was supposed to be a better place right? Then God stepped in. I had always wanted to go on a mission trip, and I found my chance! I went to Northern Ireland with Teen Missions Int’l (teenmissions.org) a wonderful organization that totally changed my life. I made some amazing friends who were absolutely on fire for the LORD, and God healed my heart. When I got home I felt like a completely different person, I stopped some things in my life that kept me from God and kept on reading his Word and praying. That’s pretty much my story, and now I do everything I can to glorify God and live for him. He has saved me, changed my life, and done so much more I couldn’t write all about the times. Oh, and before I forget, he wants to do this for you too! Just ask him!
